Amsterdam - city of canals

This was my first trip to Amsterdam / Netherlands. I only got to spend few days in the city but wish I had more time. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly people. The people are all so nice and everyone knows either English or German, so there were no any communication problems. The architecture in Amsterdam is so unbelievably beautiful helped a lot by the fact that the city was built, as the whole country, in land taken from the sea. In Amsterdam all the buildings lean forward. Studded with canals and bridges, Amsterdam begs to be explored by foot or bike. Yes, Amsterdam has its Red Light District and hash-selling coffee shops, but they are just a small part of this world-class city.
