Google Plus 2 Year Anniversary photowalk - Baku

This year as well the photography community of Google+ decided to organize a world wide photowalk to celebrate the two year anniversary of Google+ on Saturday, June 29, 2013. The idea was to gather together to hang out with other Google+ photographers, take and share photos and meet new and interesting people. The total number of cities involved this year was 66. This time the photowalk in Baku was hosted by +Fuad Babayev and me. Our photo walk started in front of the Baku funicular at 16:00 and ended near the JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel. We all enjoyed the evening!

"Wedding Photojournalism" master class

I've been conducting photography workshops throughout Azerbaijan for the last 2 years mainly focusing on post production and studio photography. My primary goal is to offer quality workshops and deliver what I promise, to help each participant develop and enhance his / her artistic ability. Last month was very intensive, so I held a "Studio Photography Basics" workshop (I will write about it later) and also was invited as an Adobe Lightroom mentor to the "Wedding Photojournalism" master class conducted by +Emil Agaev and sponsored by Fujifilm. All the participants, including the instructors, were given the fujifilm x series cameras (they could use also their own DSLRs) to test during the workshop and the assignment was to shoot a love story. We invited a great couple to be our models for this event. Here are the photos I took with my fujifilm x100s during the workshop.

Short video about the workshop with the photos taken by the participants.

My Trip To Montenegro

Last week I had a chance to travel to Montenegro which I was very excited about. My destination was Budva. Budva is the centre of Montenegro's tourism and is well known for its sandy beaches, diverse nightlife and examples of Mediterranean architecture. The best known feature of the Budva Riviera is its beaches. There are many tourist boats that dock in Budva harbor which offer rides to nearby beaches, Sv. Nikola island, or one-day trips to various destinations on Montenegrin coast. Apart from its natural beauty, its bay islands and beaches, Budva is rich in historic monuments. Budva Old Town is truly lovely. Much of the architecture in the Old Town is of Venetian design. Here are some photos from this trip. Enjoy!
