Doors, walls, textures and colors

Every time when I need an inspiration or feel like I need to relax, I go to one of my favorite places in Baku - "Icheri Sheher" (Old City). This is a place where you can walk for hours and every time find new great ideas and themes for photography. I went there with Elmar Mustafazadeh. This time I tried to concentrate myself on colors and textures of old doors and walls of the Old City, every piece of which has its own history.

Elmar has some great photos from that day too, so make sure you also visit his blog.

Love the colors and textures of walls and doors. The cracked blue wall reminded me a map of ocean and islands.

Elmar and I were experimenting with the exposure and this photo was something like a test shot, but while editing the whole set I decided to convert it to b/w and... here is Elmar's portrait!

Charity Bazaar in Baku

Few days ago I got an invitation to the Charity Bazaar organized by my great friends from Save the Children Azerbaijan Country office and Park Bulvar Trade Center. The purpose of this event was developing of modern ways of philanthropy in Azerbaijan and raising funds to assist Save the Children to improve the lives of children in need. Various shops displayed and sold their items and products during the Charity Bazaar and live music and dance groups’ performances entertained the visitors and guests and made their day more colorful. All proceeds from the Bazaar goes directly to Save the Children projects to support Azerbaijani children in need.
