Zahid from Chicago

Zahid is my best friend from the secondary school and we have known each other since we were 10 years old. We were interested in many of the same hobbies. We both enjoy drawing, music and gangster movies. We liked going to the cinema but very often could't agree on which movie to see. The only movie we both like was Godfather. Few days ago when Zahid called me and said that he would like to have few portraits, something special and more personal, I made him an offer he could not refuse. I suggested Gangster theme! We agreed on time, place and dress code, so that he shows up according to theme. We also borrowed our sons' toy guns (Magnum and Mauser) so everything was ready for the shoot. Plans for 2011

Well... 2010 is over and it’s time for the traditional looking-back and building future plans. For me, 2010 was generally a good year. After several years of silence I took my camera again and got back to photography. It was a year I attempted to catch up whatever I missed during those years. I met with many interesting people, made friends with a number of great photographers, finally set up my website and this blog as well as my Facebook fan page. I also organized with friends and colleagues the first Baku photowalk and had great time throughout the year. One of my interesting photography related purchases in 2010 was a Canon 5D mark II. 

One really very important goal I have for 2011 is to develop a strong photography business. I will also focus more on portraiture and wedding photography and work on personal style. I truly believe it is important to follow your dreams and if you work hard and follow your dreams one day they will definitely come true. So I want to start a new year with this funny photo of my son which I made on January 1, 2011.
